In all economically motivated overlapping-generations models it is important to know how people’s age-income profiles develop. The Finnish Centre for Pensions’ long-term pension expenditure model is the prime motivating factor for this study. It is important to know and to predict the underlying wage history. What is the right retirement wage and how will it develop in the future?
